Receive all of the materials to competently demonstrate your proficiency as a fiber optic installer directly to your own home. Additionally, you will be provided with access to our online video library. Simply follow the videos, do the labs at your own pace, at your own location, then take a picture of your completed lab to submit for grading. Upon successful evaluation of your hands-on labs, you will be granted the valuable Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFI) certification.

In this course, students will learn how to understand the limitations of bending, effects of temperature, how to effectively splice and connectorize fiber optics, troubleshoot a system and confirm the quality of connections and splices. All these skills are necessary to properly install and repair fiber optics systems.

Participants completing the course exercises and lab requirements will be given the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) exam for Certified Fiber Optic Technicians. This exam is proctored by a certified FOA instructor and participant must score the minimum (70%) to meet the FOA certification requirements.

Course sizes can range from 6 to 15 people and are subject to minimum enrollment criteria before each session is firmly booked.

We offer classroom style hands-on training courses from beginner to advanced technicians and ITS professionals. These programs are three days in duration, with the class schedule typically running between the hours of 9am-5pm. Techtricians is a registered training site for the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) and each of our courses includes the Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) exam credential and annual enrollment into the FOA. Most of our programs are BICSI accredited for 22 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) per 3-day session, which is a tremendous value for BICSI professionals
